about the design process
Every design and branding project follows a general process that adjusts to the goals and needs set at the outset. We think it is helpful to know what to expect when moving through a design project:
1. Goal Setting
We begin by listening to our clients, and learning what it is they wish to accomplish. After we listen, we set goals based on the objectives of the project. Often times we create a timeline to hold everyone accountable to in order to meet the deadlines associated with a project. What is the purpose of this project? How will success be measured? What message are we going to communicate? What are the things we need to be mindful of? D&A Design believes that a success story begins with listening and goal setting.
2. Concept Development
Once the goals of the project are determined, we churn the goals and what we listened to into visual and communicative concepts. We then present these concepts, and discuss what to pursue – which concepts best get to the core of the project.
3. Design
During the graphic design process, we provide and refine the designs through various rounds of design refinement until our client is satisfied. Once the final design is approved and finalized, we then provide final design files to the chosen production vendor (printer, web developer, etc.).
4. Wrap-Up
D&A Design keeps a watchful eye on the production, ensuring that quality standards are met. We make sure that the final product is delivered on time, and that our client is thrilled with the deliverables.
