Chillicothe, Ohio
CVB Rebranding

D&A Design, and our partners Westside Media, are the "brand shepherds" of the Chillicothe-Ross Co., Ohio Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). In late 2006 we began work on creating an all new brand that would be applied to all points of touch: From stationery to ads, from an all new website to directing the new visitor's guide. Making the area a destination for weekend tourists and event planners was key, while trying to balance the area's rich history with its progressive-yet-quaint current charm.

Using the well-vetted positioning statement of "Chillicothe: Where To Be!" in tandem with the new logo we created for them, we developed an overall brand environment, of which all points of touch came from. Using "Where To Be!" as the guiding principle idea, we have created sub-categories for the brand such as "Where to Shop… Where to Relax… Where to Thrive… etc."

In late 2007, Chillicothe was picked as one of five Ohio cities by "Ohio Magazine" as one of Ohio's "Best Hometowns" in 2008. Naturally this gives the "Where To Be!" tag a great boost. Fortunately for Chillicothe, they have the consistent new branding in place to hit the ground running with this much-sought status.
